SOME KIND OF JAM 9

ASSEMBLY OF DUST
NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Acoustic-electric battlefield blues and roots-rock, country-boy hip-hop and whiskey reggae.

THE END MEN

The average listener would be surprised to find that the powerful sound The End Men project is only coming from two people. With the raw, rasp-soaked vocals and the guitar-split to give the illusion of a bass, along with the rock solid drum pocket peppered with found percussive elements, the band rides a wave of dirty blues rock and vaudevillian stomp. In a few short years, The End Men have carved out a name for themselves and drop jaws and turn heads with every show they perform. The live experience harkens back to a smokey sideshow tucked away on the bayou; captivating and eccentric in its intensity.

G. CALVIN WESTON & AL SMITH

Jordon, whose birthright is bluegrass, heard about Bonnie singing around town and just wanted to hang out. Hanging out led to playing a little music, and pretty soon the magic was apparent. I can just imagine that spontaneous look on the faces of these three when they first hit one of those notes that brings chills and tears. JULIE CORBALIS
My name is Julie Corbalis. For the last 10 years, family, friends, and lovers have made their ways into my song lyrics. Like flowers, some of our relationships were cultivated and coaxed toward sunlight with thoughtful encouragement and practical decisions. Others managed to flourish keeping hydrated with a little beer and light from the bulbs on the Triboro Bridge. Both are the stars of my songs; the reasons I write.

BOB KEEL
Bob Keel is real. He writes from the heart. He writes what he sees. It is untainted and sometimes not pretty. He writes of love like it was just discovered yesterday and his songs have a way of penetrating down to your very soul. They are soothing sometimes and at other times cutting. He is a storyteller for those in need of tale.

TOMM DUNN
Genuine, foot stompin', smokin', no-holds-barred Delta blues. His gritty voice sings of love, lust, lousy jobs and worse luck. Carrying the blues forward - the river keeps flowing just the same.

DAVE FRY
Dave Fry has become a folk music legend as an extraordinary kids performer; he can immediately connect with kids and families with his active and creative musical explorations. Hands-on instruments, playground songs and dances, and a friendly humor. Folk, Rock and Roll, and some seriously silly songs. Countless assemblies and concerts, PBS-TV shows, an awarding-winning family CD, and a brand new CD Playground.
