The Breakfast is a hard-rocking jazz rock experimental quartet whose
music ranges from rock to sonic landscapes. In 2003/2004 THE BREAKFAST accepted
their 1st Jammy award for best emerging artist at The Madison Square Garden
Theater along with Phil Lesh, Umphrey's Mcgee, Dr John and other distinguished

unleashing their signature sound on the masses.
Chicago Afrobeat Project (CAbP) remains true to its original vision of
breathing the intensity of Chicago’s rich music scene into the infectious sounds
of afrobeat. At each of its 100+ live performances a year, the group’s frenzied
songs hit audiences with a big enough one-two punch to tirelessly knock them
onto the dance floor time and time again. Afrobeat’s range of influences —
funk, rock, jazz, afro-cuban, high life and juju music – settle into a hypnotic,
dance-compelling pulse at the core of CAbP.
Formed in 1992, Splintered Sunlight has become a permanent fixture for
music in the Mid Atlantic region, recently celebrating their tenth year of
performances at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. Splintered has a play list
of well over two hundred songs, spanning the thirty year career of The Grateful
Dead (as well as numerous other classic rock songs). The band and its members
have performed with Bob Weir, Donna Jean Godcheaux, Tom Constanten, Merle Saunders,
and Jimmy Herring. In addition, Splintered has shared the stage with Kingfish,
Jorma Kaukonen and Jefferson Starship among others.
Post Junction brings together funk, jazz, soul, and rock with an emphasis on
improvisation. Influences include George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic,
Sly and the Family Stone, Jerry Garcia Band, Frank Zappa, and Miles Davis.
Post Junction and its various members have jammed with greats such as George
Clinton & Parliament/Funkadelic , Bernie Worrell, Robert Randolph & The
Family Band.
Jazzam is a high energy- get the party started NOW- jazz/power-funk band.
With modern and traditional influences ranging from Jazz, Funk, Soul, Rock,
R&B and World Music every set has its own distinct flavor and its own unique
pulsating intensity. By skillfully integrating short quotes of current and
traditional cover songs into their tight jams and performing full covers that
regularly knock audiences’ collective socks off, Jazzam relies heavily on highly
composed original tunes while maintaining a close connection to a wide variety
of audience favorites.
Coviello and his mandolin-playing songwriting partner JP Biondo formed
the nucleus of Cabinet before the rest of the band came along. JP's cousin,
Pat Biondo, recently moved to the area from Cleveland and was assimilated into
the group after agreeing to learn a new skill. "I played guitar for years
and when I wanted to join the band, they already had a guitar. Someone had
a banjo lying around, so I started to learn how to play the banjo." Todd
Kopec adds another bluegrassy element dynamic with his fiddle while Dylan Skursky's
nimble fingers on the upright bass supplements the rest of the ensemble well.
Oh, and did I mention that they all sing? Three and four-part harmonies are
a regular part of the show.
Codename is a fusion of tightly composed, high-energy progressive-rock
arrangements, complimented by jazzy harmonies and funked out dance grooves.
Their show is a true experience. The soulful connection is apparent between
Adam Nash (keys/piano), Jon Joffe (guitar), Greg Halbkram (bass), and Sal Galati
(drums/percussion), as their chemistry both on and off the stage combines unique
energy, vision, and sense of adventure that all goes into the jazz-infused
blast of funk rock that is Codename.
The Big Dirty delivers funk, soul, groove that captures the attention
any audience who enjoys soulful, inspiring, fresh, and creative instrumentation.
This band satisfies with a sonically innovative style that is difficult to
pinpoint but easy to get down to. While their roots lie within a countless
number of musical genres of the past century, The Big Dirty has forged a sound
that is truly unlike anything else. With each member utilizing a wide variety
of effects and styles, and creative collaborations on the songwriting process,
TBD continues to forge a signature sound that is making heads turn and bodies
move.
Dakini is a five-piece original band from Hegins, PA. They create a flowing
musical experience that is truly unlike anything else. With influences from
all genres of music, Dakini is pure rock ’n’ roll with a driving energy that
can satisfy any and all who come to experience a show. Together for eight years
with three full-length studio albums, one live album & thousands of bootleg
recordings, Dakini has established themselves as one of Pennsylvania’s most
original, exciting, diverse, ever-changing improvisational bands.
Jimkata is a concept that has been brewing for much longer than it's
first year of road exposure throughout 2007. Influenced by the 90's childhoods
of its' members, the music calls upon the likes of Rage Against the Machine,
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ween, Dr. Dre, and the Chemical Brothers. Now they
are on an endless pursuit to find a sound that is both new and timeless. Although
inspired by the world of improvisational music, Jimkata focuses on song structure,
textures, layers, and vibrant lyrics. By the end of a Jimkata show you will
leave feeling explosive, powerful and alive.
Pittsburgh's Euphonic Brew ranks among the fastest-growing, most exciting and versatile bands to emerge from the Western Pennsylvania music scene. Established in 2000, Free Grass Union brings American roots music past
the present & into the future. Their sets are comprised of original tunes
as well as traditional Bluegrass/ Mountain music, Blues, Celtic and more, often
played in a not-so traditional way. This band continues to excavate sonic artifacts
from the future with no signs of slowing down. FGU has spread it’s genre defying
music across the northeast, sharing the bill with such acts as David Grisman,
Donna Jean & the Tricksters, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, and Dub
Side of the Moon.
Dr Ketchup is a five piece instrumental project from Philadelphia consisting
of Rhodes piano & organ, tenor sax, trumpet, bass, and drums. Throughout
the band's history the line-up has also included vibraphones, and percussion.
Over the last 10 years the band has seen a lot of changes but has retained
its fundamental concept; the groove. The group has drawn inspiration from jazz
greats such as Herbie Hancock, Lou Donaldson, and Miles Davis. Dr Ketchup's
style is a balance between jazz structure and a funkified groove, a modal form
of music that has been coined "Acid Jazz".
Mason Porter sits on the ground where creative songwriting and raw energy
meld in to an alternative bluegrass sound that pushes the limits of traditional
music. Combining lush harmonies with hand clapping sing-alongs and the unfiltered
emotion of a hungry young rock band, Mason Porter is a force that evokes the
spirits of each and every person whose life they touch. With a profound affection
for the intrinsic and extrinsic powers of music, four guys held together by
friendship and musicianship; these are the ingredients that in the end make
Mason Porter a family connecting the musical past with the musical future.
Beaucoup Blue is the Philadelphia based duo of David and Adrian Mowry.
Father and son have been performing their music strongly rooted in the blues,
up and down the eastern seaboard. Bridging many gaps in American music, their
soulful traditional and contemporary style mesh into an innovative and authentic
sound. Although blues is a staple in their repertoire, they also base their
love in music from Folk, Soul, R&B, Jazz, Country, and Bluegrass. A handsome
range of instruments like six and twelve string guitars, slide guitar, Dobro
and the two soulful voices blend together like only family members can, affecting
audiences wherever they perform.
A group of ten professional musicians from all corners of musical Philadelphia
brought together to make great music, who specialize in several genres and
subgenre's including the New Orleans brass band style, Jazz, both modern and
historic, Dixieland and pre-Rock and Roll Rhythm and Blues. A smattering of
original hard-to-define compositions rounds out our eclectic but very listenable
style.
"The Pluckin' Grassholes- Need I say more. These guys bring a mutha pluckin'
load of blue grass to the table. They wrung out the overalls of rock and stole
the front porch pickin flavor from the heart of Appalachia. These well groomed
mountain men will get your bones shakin with their handcrafted songs and lightning
fast fingers. " Evan Walton

mixing an organic and electric approach to rock and roll with influences including
folk, funk, bluegrass, reggae, and jazz. Lyrically exploring psychedelic and
natural themes with a positive intention that leaves listeners feeling optimistic.

by visual arts and artists.
His acoustic performances carry a weight and intensity that is not commonly
found in many of his contemporaries. Fiumano has drawn comparisons to great
folk and rock artists of generations past, but is carving out a path that is
all his own. He captivates audiences with lyrical prowess and a voice that
can be both powerful and raw or delicate. Always striving to build on his success,
Anthony began playing with a group of musicians dubbed The Medicine Chest.
With The Medicine Chest behind him, Fiumano is bringing new energy to the songs
that earned him a reputation as one of the area's premier songwriters.
Turtle Soup's original blend of jam rock, funk, and dance music is no longer New Jersey's best kept secret, thanks to winning Top Jam Band and Top Groove Band at the 2007 Asbury Music Awards. Not only are they excellent songwriters, but dazzling musicians as well. Fun, catchy hooks, complex arrangements and sweet grooves fuel their improvisations. The frenzy of their enthusiastic and rapidly growing fan base adds to the excitement of a Soup show.
The Backroad was founded
in the heartland of South Central Pennsylvania. Ben Smith, Brian Bowman, Matt
Gochenauer, and Kyle Morgan combined their diverse musicianship and talent
to create the unique back-porch-of-Mars feel. With image painting lyrics, these
artists strive to express their limited understanding of love and life. If
you like experimental folk, then take a moment enter the world of The Backroad.
Truly a musical revolution for this generation, Mystery Fyre brings psychedelic classic-rock back to the music scene. Being strongly influenced by bands such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and The Doors has allowed Mystery Fyre to brew their own original vintage sound. From the screaming of bluesy guitar riffs, to the heart pounding bass grooves, to the mind splitting beating of the drums – it’s a body moving and raw experience unlike any other. As a band of three brothers, they continue to daze and amaze audiences both young and true to the music. However, before the grass could grow Mystery Fyre had to plant its seeds. So when the Bloomsburg-based band released their debut album in 2008 appropriately titled Seed, their grass grew faster than weeds. And with standout tracks like “Wildland” and “Doesn’t the Sky Look Tasty,” it’s no wonder hippies, deadheads, and anyone with a good ear can agree the Knorr brothers are on a trip to something big. Mystery Fyre now looks to lead a musical re-revolution through the grapevine of great American rock and roll.
Tomm Dunn
Genuine, foot stompin', smokin', no-holds-barred Delta blues. Dunn's gritty voice sings of love, lust, lousy jobs and worse luck...carrying the blues forward and the river keeps flowing just the same.
Anthony Fiumano
With only an acoustic guitar and a collection of focused, introspective songs, Anthony Fiumano began playing for local audiences two short years ago. But in that time, he has developed a unique sound that blends a deep respect for tradition with rock, folk, and R&B music.
Kyle Morgan
A lonestar gambler, waiting for the day buried within each of us.
Kelly Carvin
Miss Kelly Carvin is a young, powerful, and lively singer/songwriter who was born and raised in New Jersey. She currently lives in Trenton, and is making a name for herself throughout the New Jersey music scene as well as NYC and Philly.
Erik from Baltimore
Combining a fiery stage prescence, sweet as honey vocals, and a caveman attitide, Erik from Baltimore has a sound all his own. Though rooted in folk and blues, this caveman is not afraid to step out on his own and let the world feel his heart song.
Mike Narvaez
American roots and acoustic sorcery.
Will Bowers
Passionate and powerful Will Bowers reflects a true modern Rock'n Roll sound to compliment his amazing improvisational guitar skills.
